I saw my first Chinstrap penguin today while Rec-boating to Torgerson Island. Gentoos, Adelies, and Chinstraps (pictured respectivly) are the three penguins that call the Palmer Station area their home. I have officially now had face time with all three! The adelies have eggs and it is rather adorable to watch as they pull up their chests and reveal their little chicks-to-be beneath their bellies. So many beautiful sights over these last few days it has been overwhelming! Having the opportunity to finally get out on the zodiacs and travel around from island to island (within limits of course) has been utterly fantastic. Although my life has been limited to about a 6mile radius for the past four months the scenery is constantly changing.
