Last night after I enjoyed a good sauna, and learned how to play cribbage (my dad and grandpa will be proud) we noticed the boat was well- stuck. The ice was so thick our ship got stuck and turned around. Today we are attempting another route and tentatively will be arriving at Palmer tomorrow. This crossing is unique and not just to me- we hit ice about 150 miles earlier than expected/normal for the time of year. Lets hope for another gorgeous sunset- if not, at least some more cribbage.
More updates soon!
The webcam at Palmer can be found at: http://www.usap.gov/videoclipsandmaps/palwebcam.cfm - although it can be obscured by harsh weather you may be able to see us arriving (granted we ever arrive!)
